Francesco Rosato

February 5, 2024

Born in Teramo, a region of Abruzzo By the Adriatic Seaside Icentral Italy.
He began painting under Sandro Melarangelo, a renowned figurative painter who introduced Francesco to oil painting techniques at Liceo Artistico Teramo (Teramo Fine Arts high school).
Upon graduating, Francesco moved to Florence where he became interested in various Florentine old masters such as Masaccio, Beato Angelico and Pontormo. He studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze (Academy of Fine Arts of Florence) where he received his Fine Arts degree.
Francesco joined a group of Italian and international painters who lived and worked in the rural Tuscan countryside under the sponsorship of cities, such as Florence and Siena.
He participated in various exhibitions and received acclaim in Italy as well as overseas.

Francesco currently lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area, California.
